e-commerce: bespoke facilitation, from order picking to delivery
Question
e-commerce is still a growth market. More and more retail customers are discovering the benefits of online shopping, and want to come home after work and have their groceries delivered to their door. A large European retailer wanted to meet this need and asked Van Vliet which logistics solutions could complete the delivery process.
Solution
Van Vliet took a closer look at the chain, from the order picking process to the delivery of the order at the consumer’s home. A completely new load carrier was designed based on this process analysis. Prototypes were tested in practice and then put into production.

we manage the pool, so that the customer has an optimal stock of load carriers at all times and the customer’s square metres are optimally used.
